You can probably boil down to two main reasons why people do not make money with  SFI or any affiliate marketing program. If you’re honest with yourself you will probably agree with me on what really stops people from making money online.

1. They do not have a clear reason why they want to make money. It’s easy to say you want to make an extra $200 a month, but it’s hard to actually do it.

People who are successful do not want to make an extra $200 a month. What they want to do is make $200 a month so they can pay off their car early. They want to make an extra $200 a month so they can cover groceries for the last week when they are short from their paycheck.

These are clear cut reasons why a person wants to make money and it will drive them to do whatever it takes to get that goal. You should set a clear-cut goal yourself and post it on a piece of paper in front of your computer where you can read it every day.

2. Making money on the Internet is not an easy thing to do. The hardest part is learning how to make money online. Learning the skills it takes to be successful it is extremely hard.

It is kind of like learning to play the guitar. You may struggle for several weeks before you even learn a couple of chords. However if you stick with it over time you will become an excellent guitar player.

The same concept is true when it comes to making money online and developing the skills it takes to learn how to do that.

The most common question I get asked is “How do I grow my SFI down line for free?”  There are several methods to grow your new online business without spending any money but by far the most effective is by using traffic exchanges.

First let me explain what a traffic exchange is. A traffic exchange will basically guarantee visitors to your site in exchange for you visiting one of there members sites. The more sites you visit, the more credits you earn for visits to your site.

Most traffic exchanges offer both a FREE and a paid membership. A paid membership will earn you more credits and more visits to your site. It is not necessary to become a paid member and in fact I belong to dozens of these sites and have never once paid a fee.

I use a FREE site called TrafficHoopla. This site lists all the top traffic exchange sites with a link to each.
Once you join and sign in you will see a link to the each  traffic exchange. Remember each site offers a FREE and a paid membership. Just focus on FREE for now, once you become more accustomed to each service then you may want to upgrade.

You can also promote more than one site. I promote several different SFI gateways and test which one gets the most sign ups.

If you are new to traffic exchange advertising take your time at first. Just sign up for the top exchanges listed on page one of  TrafficHoopla (there are three pages!!). Get to know each exchange and then move on.

In order to succeed using a traffic exchange you will need to have a plan of attack.

First -you will need to surf as many sites as possible in a set amount of time.  For instance, I surf for credits an hour a day every day.

Second -join several of the top traffic exchanges and visit them every day.

Third- And most importantly, Do not upgrade to any program if you can’t afford it!!!. Remember the goal is to get as many free hits as possible.

Remember in order for your SFI business to be a success you must promote it. Traffic exchanges and TrafficHoopla are the best resource for you to use.

SFI has introduced a new program called Power Rank (PR). The idea behind Power Rank is to get new affiliates and those struggling with SFI to begin to take action.

When a new member joins SFI they will be given a “to do” list for getting started and Power Rank points are then awarded for completing each task.

Power Rank points can be awarded for completing dozens of activities. Completing your SFI affiliate profile, joining A2A, reviewing training articles and dozens more.

SFI is also offering a drawing once a month for new affiliates. The more points they earn in their first 30 days the more money they have a chance of winning in the Power Rank Cash Drawing. For each Power Rank point earned $1(US) is awarded up to a maximum $1500

Power Rank also allows you to see how you stack up against other SFI affiliates. The more PR points you accumulate the higher your rank. The overall rank of an affiliate is determined 3 ways.

1) Your overall Power Rank tells you where you rank amongst ALL active SFI affiliates worldwide. Set your goal to become a “Top 1000 Affiliate,” a “Top 100 Affiliate” or even a “Top 10 Affiliate!”

2) Your Country Rank tells you where you rank amongst the active SFI affiliates in your country. ?Show your fellow citizens that you’re an SFI superstar!

3) Your Class Rank tells you where you rank amongst the active SFI affiliates in your class (i.e. all SFI affiliates who joined SFI the same day you did). ?Work hard and you can become the #1 affiliate in your class!

Your Power Ranking are also now found on your SFI homepage so it’s right there for you to view after you log into the Affiliate Center.

The Power Rank is another great idea by SFI. It again proves that they are leading the way in affiliate marketing and are committed to the success of their affiliates.  By earning points for reading the training material SFI affiliates  gain more  knowledge and eventually will become more successful.

If your are struggling with SFI and still are trying to find a way to grow your down line then an auto responder is an option you may want to look into

In order to succeed with any Internet home based business you must be able to communicate with prospects. Contacting them through email is by far the easiest and most proven method to increase your response rate.

What an auto responder enables you to do is reach out to those prospects who have shown an interest in the opportunity you are offering. You can send them a newsletter showing them how to grow their own SFI business, offer products or services that will help them succeed or just simply just say hi.

There are several reputable auto responder services, Aweber and GetResponse are two. I have used them both and both are very good.

I do prefer GetResponse due to its double opt in which prevents worries about spamming and they offer unlimited campaigns so you can have several different newsletters for several different niche markets.

Whichever auto responder you use if done properly you will see your SFI down line begin to grow.
